K9 Ghost Helps Officers Recover Stolen Firearms and Illegal Assault Weapons During Follow-Up Investigation

During a recent follow-up to a prior investigation, officers contacted a subject at his residence to conduct a search. Assisting in the operation was K9 Ghost, whose keen training helped officers locate several illegal firearms.

The search resulted in the recovery of a non-serialized short-barreled assault rifle, a stolen Glock handgun, and a lower receiver for an assault rifle. Thanks to the combined efforts of our officers and K9 Ghost, the suspect was promptly arrested and faces multiple charges, including:

• 30605(a) PC: Possession of an assault weapon

• 32625 PC: Possession of a machine gun

• 33125 PC: Possession of a short-barreled rifle

• 496a PC: Possession of a stolen firearm
