On January 17, 2024, the Santa Rosa Police Department responded to a violent gang-related stabbing near Bellevue Ranch Park that left the community alarmed. Following a thorough investigation, the SRPD Gang Crimes Team, alongside K9 Rocco, K9 Ghost, and multiple officers, conducted five simultaneous surveillance operations to safely apprehend the suspects involved.

As a result of these coordinated efforts, six high school-aged juveniles were arrested for charges related to attempted homicide. Following the arrests, detectives executed search warrants at multiple residences connected to the suspects.
During the searches, officers recovered several knives, gang paraphernalia, clothing, and electronic devices. The knives are undergoing further examination to determine their involvement in the crime.
K9 Rocco played a key role in one of the searches by alerting detectives to multiple firearm parts hidden within a residence. Further investigation revealed a 3D printer and additional firearm components, suggesting that one juvenile may have been using the printer to manufacture firearm parts.
All six juveniles were booked into juvenile hall, facing charges stemming from the initial attempted homicide.
The Santa Rosa Police Department remains committed to keeping the community safe through vigilant investigation, coordinated enforcement, and the invaluable support of our K9 units.
