K9 Ghost receives special recognition from congressman mike thompson

K9 Ghost was formally recognized by Congressman Mike Thompson with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition in honor of his outstanding service to public safety. The recognition acknowledges K9 Ghost’s proven contributions as a firearms detection K9, including his role in locating illegal weapons and supporting safer outcomes for officers and the public. Congressional recognition reflects the significance of Ghost’s work beyond the department level and underscores the importance of highly trained K9 teams in modern policing.

Ghost’s work producing tangible results in the field has earned him widespread appreciation. In a December 2025 operation, Ghost located a concealed 9 mm revolver and ammunition during a disturbance response, enabling officers to safely recover the weapon and arrest a convicted felon.
